I started making small concertina books as an alternative way of recording the process of sitting with standing stones in the Monolith videos. The concertina format allows for the mirroring of the editing process of the video, as well as suggesting duration. For each book I hand make a numbered box as both a nod to 20C minimalist sculpture and stacking, as well as a method of storing each book.
